There was a common understanding between news providers and wealthy, influential people about what would and would not be shared with the general population. There was a price for this protection, of course, in the daily wheelings and dealings of power brokers. My father told me about his Masonic ties, his position as a 32nd degree Mason, and his involvement in "deals" that were made in complete secrecy. With Trump's investigation uncovering all manner of secret international transactions and agreements, most Americans are stunned by the revelations in the media. It gives people the feeling that we really do have a free press.
When I think of my dad's revelations, I know that what we are seeing may have a lot of truth in it, but it's a selective truth. Our attention gets riveted on these daily media fights between the right and left, and that, to me, looks like the Wizard of Oz level of population/resources control. Most people would be in a state of shock and awe if they had access to all the secret ops carried out by corporations and government...ops that go on and on, regardless of who is President and who is in the Congress. The smokescreen of disinformation and intimidation is very sophisticated. Behind the scenes power brokers in the public sector and the military have aggressive disinformation resources. They publicly classify anyone who reports these clandestine activities as delusional, paranoid, misinformed, and unpatriotic.
If you are psychic, or have experiences that involve multidimensional perception, or Remote Viewing, have patience with debunkers, they aren't going to disappear. They persistently debunk psi research regardless of the thousands of peer-reviewed studies, because it leads people to shy away from psychic development. This dumbs down our innate abilities of fine-tuned discernment. The biggest, richest, and most powerful churches participate in this, by scaring the daylights out of people who go anywhere near what they label as "dangerous new age bunk." The military sector has always had the right to secret ops, because "loose lips sink ships" as everyone knows. However, it's time for people to realize that the military has historically abused their power to carry out secret ops, and over the decades, they became more adept at persuading their own finance departments as well as congressional funders.
Their manipulation of desired "projects" has become public at times, but their ability to quash inquiry with disinformation is usually enough to discourage any changes in secrecy/transparency policies. A crack in their BS shield is beginning to show up now, however, with several generations of military men and women who are out of the military and are breaking their silence about programs that are sucking financial resources from the public, with a "slim and none" public benefit being provided for all our hard-earned tax dollars. The military has a huge array corporate partners (whom the military pays with our tax dollars). These corporations don't have to follow the same restrictions Congress gave to each branch of the military. The demands for funds and the amount of bribery, coercion and payment for Congressional votes has never been this great.
Our Supreme Court was corrupted by the passing of Citizens United in 2010, which allowed corporations to pay Congressional election expenses without any required public identification. No paper trail. No way to know the true sources, nor the secret programs seeking support. Until we have a more enlightened administration in the executive branch, disinformation about Citizens United will prevail and corporations will be doing their best to reinterpret the constitution on their behalf. It's no surprise that oil and pharmaceutical corporations were huge contributors to influence congressional votes, so these companies will not receive the congressional oversight our citizens deserve. Oil companies cause significant environmental damage through water and air pollution and in turn, carelessly poison the people exposed to their toxins. Our elected officials are aiding and abetting these crimes by voting against environmental regulations that would keep us safe.
Postscript 2021: It appears Biden's presidency intends to redefine our economic model ...tax free corporations and millionaires are now going to pay higher taxes, and those who make under $400,000 will be paying less. Health care, child care, colleges and trade schools will be partially or totally provided for millions of underemployed and undereducated citizens. The military style police culture will be reexamined and new restrictions on violence against 'suspects' is in the works. Trump and his cronies are being prosecuted for financial crimes, and the Republican party has lost its credibility.
